Download the game at http://www.esnips.com/doc/6e06e59b-61ec-41e7-babd-52f3ca881988/MaxMaple. Put both files into the folder and lunch the game with the .BAT. Just to fill in most of the time the server will have lots of Server checks.

Becouse some people dont know how to do this, im making a guide so we dont get tons of questons for what to do. (This guide was created on Windows Vista. There is little difference between Windows XP and Vista. The only thing i can think of is Vista has UAC [User Account Control] All that does is make an extra screen pop up asking you to verify that you want that to happen. If that screen pops up, just say yes to everything)

Step 1)

Go HERE and Scroll down a bit and you will see a bar that says Game Download Click it. And you do not need to sign up to the website. All you need to do, is click download. Signing up puts your username and password on that server. There is no need to have your info on that server, when you want it on ours.


Step 2)

Download The Maple Story game from the website. This may take awhile depending on your network speed. It took me 10 mins going at 1 MB/s. (most people will go at around 250 KB/s. So this would take about an hour or so. Its worth the wait. You can do other stuff while this is downloading. Just dont close the window or shut down your computer.) The file is around 825 MB. To download it, scroll down a bit and you will see "downloading the game client" part. Click north Amarica (1) or Global (2) North Amarica if you live in either Canada, USA or Mexico. And Global if you live anywhere else. A screen will pop up asking if you want to Run, Save or Cancel. You want to click "Run"





Step 3)

After the download is complete, click "Run" once more and the InstallSheield should come up. It will take a few mins while it extracts the game.



Step 4) Now a screen that says "Preparing to install" should apear after a few mins. This might be up there for another few mins. Im not sure why this one takes a few mins, maybe its just me. Im not going to bother to put an image of what it looks like, its pretty basic.

Step 5) Another screen will come up after, its the first install screen, its just telling you whats going to be installed and if thats ok with you. Click Next.



Step 6) This step is the licence agreement. It asks for you to read it over, its just basic, nothing to worry about. All you have to do is click the little circle that says "I Accept" and then click "Next"



Step 7) This Asks you Where you want your game to be saved. It saves it right where it should. Just click next.



Step This is just saying that its going to install, and gives you one last chance to chage any options. Click Install.



Step 9) Now its installing the game. It wont take very long. It may seem like its not doing anything at first, just ignor that. Then after its all done, click "Finish"




Step 10) Now you have to download the other stuff. Click HERE To go to the website with the files on it. Once there, click download MaxMaple.rar
Make sure when you download, you click "Save" and save it to a location you will remember. I suggest a folder named "downloads"



Step 11) YOU CAN SKIP THIS STEP IF YOU HAVE winRAR INSTALLED!!
Now since some computers dont have winRAR on it (dunno why every one needs it at some point) Im also going to tell you how to get it. Ok, go to this site HERE and click download, NOT buy now, this is a free program, it just asks for you to buy it for some reason.



Step 12) YOU CAN SKIP THIS STEP IF YOU HAVE winRAR INSTALLED!!
Click the big download thing and accept every thing and its really easy to install. when your finished go to the next step.

Step 13) go to the folder where you saved the MaxMaple.rar and right click it and choose "Extract Here" The files should now be in that folder. The two files you need to worry about are highlited in the picture. Leave this window open.



Step 14) Now go into your "My Computer" and open up your Local Disk (C:) Then go into a folder named "Nexon" Inside of that folder is another folder, this time named "MapleStory" Open that up as well.






Step 15) Now go into the folder that you left open is step 13. Copy the two files that and right click the folder "MapleStory" and click "Paste" Click Yes to any window that opens and your done!

How to play the game!

Heres how you play the game. Now that you installed it all, its all said and done, you wana play it right? Ok, double click the file that I highlited in the picture below and click yes if anything pops up (mainly Vista) And enter your user name and password, make a charactor and your set! Have fun!
